	COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course is designed to cover management concepts for the front-line supervisor as well as the utility manager of water and wastewater systems. The course is centered around common examples and situations experienced in the water and wastewater industry.

	MAJOR TOPICS: Planning Organizing Directing Communication Problem Solving TARGET AUDIENCE: Front line supervisors and utility managers alike will benefit from this course. Employees seeking advanced training for higher certification or for re-certification points will benefit as well. PREREQUISITES: At least a basic knowledge of water or wastewater operations would be most beneficial in being able to follow along with this course. COURSE LENGTH: This course is a 24 hour (4-day) course that meets the training requirements set forth by the Certification Board. CERTIFICATION RENEWAL POINTS: This course has been approved for 12 certification points and is approved as advanced training for class II and I certification.

				COURSE DESCRIPTION: This is a broad-based course designed to provide water and wastewater plant personnel with information on safety issues common to both sides of the industry.
				MAJOR TOPICS: Water Plant Safety Laboratory Safety Chlorine Safety Confined Space Basic Electrical Safety; Lock-out/Tag-out TARGET AUDIENCE: Employees, supervisors, and managers working in water or wastewater, especially those individuals involved in safety programs. PREREQUISITES: Basic knowledge of water and or wastewater plants, collection systems, distribution systems, and/or laboratories would be helpful. COURSE LENGTH: This is a 24 hour (3-day) course that meets the training requirements set forth by the Certification Board. CERTIFICATION RENEWAL POINTS: This course has been approved for 12 certification renewal points.



	COURSE DESCRIPTION: This is an introductory course on the inspection of distribution and collection system piping and connections with an overview of basic system design parameters. It examines the problems associated with improper installations and the importance of maintaining quality to maintain system integrity. MAJOR TOPICS: Basic Construction Concepts Rules & Regulations Contractor Relations Job Site Safety Basic Site Plan Reading TARGET AUDIENCE: Employees currently working with contractors and/or crews during and after the installation and repair of Distribution and Collection systems. PREREQUISITES: Basic math skills on a high school level are essential for the successful completion of this course. COURSE LENGTH: This is a 15 hour (2 1/2-day) course that meets the training requirements set forth by the Certification Board. CERTIFICATION RENEWAL POINTS: This course has been approved for 15 advanced training points or 6 certification renewal points.
