All of the courses that GWWI offers are approved for either Basic Training, Advanced Training, or Continuing Education by the Georgia State Board of Examiners for the Certification of Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators and Laboratory Analysts.

GWWI also offers courses approved for Basic Training and Continuing Education for the GAWP Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester and the GAWP Maintenance Technologists Certifications.

Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester Training

COURSE DURATION: 32 Hours

SUMMARY: This course is designed for anyone who is interested in obtaining a GAWP Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester Certification. This course is a classroom/hands-on course. This should NOT be used for continuing education points. All students will be required to pass the hands-on proctored exam in order to receive certificate of completion. Certificate of completion will not be issued to students that do no pass all three hands-on proctored exams.

Jar Test Workshop

POINTS: 12 (Water, Wastewater)

COURSE DURATION: 12 Hours (Advanced)

SUMMARY: This is a lecture and hands-on course focusing on the optimization of performing jar tests in the pursuit of drinking water plant operating efficiency. This course helps the operator determine the best sequence to perform the jar test and can be used to evaluate current and proposed chemical use. Simulated raw water samples, lab apparatus, and chemicals are used throughout the workshop. Currently certified operators needing a refresher course to gather more knowledge in preparation for taking any water certification exam may also benefit from this course.
