This course is a classroom/laboratory hybrid where students will perform many hands-on exercises. The course provides the required training hours for the GA Wastewater Laboratory Analyst certification and half of the required advanced training hours for the GA Class 2 Wastewater Operator exam.

This course introduces basic troubleshooting of pump/motor systems & basic asset management. This course is the required training in order to sit for the GAWP Maintenance Technologist Class 3 certification. The GAWP Maintenance Technologist (MT) Certification program follows the same levels as the Association of Boards of Certification Plant Maintenance Technologist Certification. Upon completion, the student will be exposed to multiple best practices for repair and installation.

The curriculum meets the most recent ABC needs to know criteria, and exposes the student to the content needed to succeed on the Georgia Class 4 Wastewater exam. Upon completion, the student will have a basic understanding of the operation of small wastewater treatment systems, as well as proper sampling techniques for process control and compliance.
