The student will be exposed to more advanced math calculation that are integral for the daily operation of an activated sludge plant. This course offers 12 continuing education points for the wastewater operators and wastewater laboratory analysts.

This class is for anyone interested in obtaining a GA Collection Systems Operator certification. The course covers the design, installation, inspection and repair of a wastewater collection system. This course provides the required training hours for the GA Collection Systems Operator certification & meets the ABC Needs-to-Know topics. Upon completion, the student will understand all aspects of conveyance, repair/rehab & the impacts to plant treatment.

This course is intended for any Georgia wastewater operator that wishes to advance their license. The curriculum will cover the most recent ABC needs to know topics as well as more advanced operational troubleshooting scenarios encountered in biological and mechanical treatment systems. This course offers half of the required points needed to be eligible to sit for the Class 2 Wastewater exam.

This course is the required training in order to sit for the GAWP Maintenance Technologist Class 3 certification. The GAWP Maintenance Technologist (MT) Certification program follows the same levels as the Association of Boards of Certification Plant Maintenance Technologist Certification. This is a lecture and hands-on course focusing on the optimization of performing jar tests in the pursuit of drinking water plant operating efficiency. This course helps the operator determine the best sequence to perform the jar test and can be used to evaluate current and proposed chemical use. Simulated raw water samples, lab apparatus, and chemicals are used throughout the workshop.

This course is for any treatment operator or laboratory professional that wishes to expand their understanding of chemistry concepts. Students will spend time reviewing basic chemistry concepts and performing several mathematical operations that are found on many operator/analyst certification exams. This class covers the basic math skills for water and wastewater laboratory analysts. This class covers the contents of a typical laboratory quality assurance program and how those contents are created. The student will be given hands on opportunities to generate laboratory data where they will determine if the quality of the data would be admissible under a QA/QC program. Upon completion of this course, the student will have a better understanding of identifying proper laboratory data consolidation procedures.
