This course introduces basic troubleshooting of pump/motor systems & basic asset management. This course is the required training in order to sit for the GAWP Maintenance Technologist Class 3 certification. The GAWP Maintenance Technologist (MT) Certification program follows the same levels as the Association of Boards of Certification Plant Maintenance Technologist Certification. Upon completion, the student will be exposed to multiple best practices for repair and installation.

The curriculum will cover ABC needs to know criteria for all advanced wastewater license levels. The student will be exposed to more advanced math calculation that are integral for the daily operation of an activated sludge plant. This course offers 12 continuing education points for the wastewater operators and wastewater laboratory analysts.

This class covers the basic math skills for water and wastewater laboratory analysts. The student will be given hands on laboratory procedures to perform that will generate data to be utilized in QA/QC calculations, generating standards, and preparing reagents for analysis. Further, the student will be exposed to sample laboratory analysis calculations. Upon completion the student will have been exposed to the level of comprehension expected on advanced Georgia water and wastewater exams.
